The end result is nothing less than amazing

I had always wanted a proper painting of my son, however never knew where to begin. It was dream. I was waiting for the opportunity. We met Aleksandra at an art fair. Her representations of animals is imbued with solemnity and gravity that clearly demonstrated the strength of the human/animal bond. I was particularly struck by this. Perhaps we could have her paint our son. This would be the chance story I was looking for, a spontaneous meeting over wine. For us that was important. We wanted our paintings to have a history of their own. This would be the beginning of that process. After reviewing many photos that variably captured bits and pieces of our son’s personality, we settled on one. In adults, it would seem easier to capture depth of personality — there are the lines of age, the gazes of experience. But a child? How would such depth be captured? It was important to my wife and I that the portrait embody this. Embody his personality in all its broad innocence. With great communication and confidence, she guided us through the process. . We see anticipation, eagerness, questions, excitement, awe — all of this in our son’s portrait. It is an apt representation that grows with meaning every time we look at it. We highly recommend Aleksandra.
